  • Pack a go-bag: ID, medication, keys, some cash, important documents, items for children.
  • Memorize or safely store key phone numbers; keep a spare charged phone if possible.
  • Identify safe places you can go and a trusted person who knows your plan.
  • Use a safer device for research; clear browsing history or use private browsing.
  • Document incidents privately — dates, what happened, witnesses — and back it up.
